Parish Announcement: Feast of St. Stephen Protomartyr
Dear Parish Family,
The Feast of St. Stephen the Protomartyr (December 27) is a special day for our parish, as he is our patron saint. In the Byzantine Catholic tradition, this feast holds particular significance for churches dedicated to St. Stephen.
This year, December 27 falls on a Saturday. To allow our entire parish family to celebrate together, Father Vasyl, in consultation with the parish advisory committee, has transferred the observance of this feast—including the obligation to attend Divine Liturgy—to Sunday, December 28.
Join us for the special 10:30 A.M. Divine Liturgy on Sunday, December 28, as we honor our patron saint and celebrate the Sunday after the Nativity of Our Lord.
Immediately following the Liturgy, we invite everyone to our social hall for a delightful banquet luncheon—a wonderful Feast Day and post-Christmas dinner. It's a perfect opportunity to relax amid the busy holiday season, enjoy delicious food, and fellowship with your parish family.
And Steelers fans, don't worry—you won't miss the Pittsburgh Steelers game! It will be shown on the video screen in the hall.
Time flies during the holidays, so mark your calendars now for this joyful afternoon of faith, food, conversation, and football.
Don't miss out!
To help the caterer prepare an accurate count, please sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board no later than December 21.
We look forward to seeing you there!
In Christ,
Father Vasyl and the Parish Advisory Committee
